Position Overview
Emerald Technical Solutions is seeking a Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator to support the ARNG ENOCS Task Order within the Network Operations Center (NOC). This role provides senior-level network and systems administration support for the ARNG's DoDIN-A(NG), a globally distributed network spanning approximately 2,800 locations supporting over 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in enterprise network operations, NIPRNet/SIPRNet environments, and DoD systems administration. This is a 24/7/365 operational role that requires deep technical expertise and the ability to manage complex, mission-critical network infrastructure across CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations Center (NOC) Support
Provide continuous 24/7/365 monitoring of WAN links, network systems, and enterprise services across the ARNG portion of DoDIN-A(NG)
Operate and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including DNS, web filtering/proxy, VPN, firewalls, and access controls
Manage NIPRNet/SIPRNet IP backbone and provide enterprise-level voice, video, and data connectivity
Troubleshoot and triage network incidents; facilitate escalation to Tier III support, DISA, or external partners as required
Support and manage DoD enterprise initiatives including AGUN, AUDS, IPv6, GSN/CSfC, and Zero Trust initiatives
Systems Administration
Administer, configure, patch, and maintain enterprise servers and systems on both NIPRNet and SIPRNet
Receive, import, repackage, test, and deploy endpoint packages and Desktop OS images from NETCOM
Manage, monitor, and maintain the Endpoint Enterprise Environment including lifecycle planning
Perform DISA STIG compliance, IAVM implementation, and manufacturer hardening guidelines across managed devices
Optimize device configurations across 50 states, territories, D.C., and NGB (TARC) to meet mission requirements
Enterprise Infrastructure Management
Provide comprehensive telecommunications support including VoIP, audio/video equipment, and SIP troubleshooting
Support management of DHCP, RBAC, ACS/IDS, EAS, JB-CE routers, and client RA VPN infrastructure
Maintain virtual machine infrastructure and oversee enterprise device management solutions
Provide DNS services and Tier I, II, III troubleshooting support to states, territories, and TARC
Monitor domain controllers and provide identity and access management support to the enterprise
Documentation & Compliance
Develop, document, and sustain device management methods, SOPs, and automation workflows
Document CM environment changes and updates within Army eMASS RMF system
Provide circuit surveillance reports for all ARNG G6 managed circuits
Support SIPRNet accreditation packages for states, territories, and TARC through CORA process
Comply with DoDM 8140.03 DCWF work code requirements for Network Operations Specialist and System Administrator roles
Required Qualifications
Active Secret security clearance (TS preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
6–10 years of experience in network and systems administration in DoD or federal environments
Security+ (DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II minimum)
Strong experience with enterprise network technologies: routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls
Experience with NIPRNet/SIPRNet operations and DoD network environments
Working knowledge of DISA STIGs, IAVM compliance, and eMASS
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting ARNG, NETCOM, or Army RCC environments
Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
Microsoft certifications (MCSE, Azure Administrator AZ-104, or equivalent)
Experience with Army endpoint management tools (AESS, ACAS)
Familiarity with ITIL service management framework
Experience with DoD Zero Trust architecture initiatives
Active Top Secret clearance
